We have failed God again and again. We've denied him, as St. Peter has denied him. We can never be good enough on our own, no matter who we are or how good we try to be. It is through God's mercy and love alone, that we are redeemed. Faith in Him is the all that we can give.
Today we think on how we backslid and betrayed Our Lord throughout our lives, as St. Peter did. It's also a day that we feast and rejoice in God's Grace.
