After a long absence due to caring for our youngest child, I realize how much I miss writing.  It has been a difficult time.  Waiting for a child to heal his heart is a bit like women who waited for their husbands to return from campaign.  There's no time for ordinary pursuits when one must take upon oneself herculean tasks.  Survival and hope that the loved one survives too is paramount.

On a lighter note, my vines are thriving.  I hope to take a photo and upload it soon.  I harvested my first grapes this fall.  I'll be expanding my vineyard next spring.  Hope is a wonderful fertilizer.

Praise and Elation

After a difficult first year with our third child, he now appears to be doing well. He still lags behind in many ways. However, we no longer fear for his life. Many thanks to all who have kept him in their prayers.

Also, we have formerly joined a neighborhood church in the Anglican communion. We are so pleased and so blessed in many ways. We'll have the boys baptized at Pentecost, and hope to resume normal life soon.

Our Vines

Our vines are thriving, although growing a bit slowly. Our children progress as well. While it would be so easy to have healthy children, I appreciate the gifts God has given me.

A Meeting, An Appointment and Rest

We've got our monthly meeting (and showing off the new baby) followed by baby's doctor appointment. Then, I'll likely need a long rest this afternoon with the baby. Thank heavens for the grandparents and their help with the older boys.

A Bit Off

We're shopping with all three boys for the first time today. Tomorrow will be so busy with a meeting and doctor's appointment, that we won't have time then. Today will be an adventure!

Learning Our New Schedule

With the Vintner now back at work after two weeks at home caring for me, then for both me and the new baby, we are learning our new schedule. We have a couple of months to settle in before formal home schooling lessons begin. We also have swim lessons next month, and lots of visiting with the new baby. We'll see how things go!
